Musical Championship of the Capital 2017
Collège Jésus-Marie de Québec

Noé Brivot, 12 years old, from Guylaine Beaulieu’s class
– Saturday, May 13th 2017 / Participation to the finals of the championship in the instrumental cagegory, regular class guitar, 10 to 21 years old. Noé  finished in 3rd place with a note of 90%, with a 150.00$ award. The presented musical piece was “Petite pièce” of Wolfgang-Amadeus Mozart / arr. C. McKinnon / Judges: Monique Pagé, Ariane Lajoie et Maurice Laforest.

– Sunday, April 30th 2017 / Preliminary trial for the championship in the instrumental category, regular class guitar, 10 to 21 years old. Noé obtained a note of 90.5% and thus accessed the finals of the championship. The pieces that were presented are “Jésus que ma joie demeure” of Johann-Sebastian Bach / arr. C. McKinnon and “Petite pièce” of Wolfgang-Amadeus Mozart / arr. C. McKinnon / Judges : Anne-Marie Bernard et David Jacques

Pascale Duchaine, 11 years old of the class of Martin Egan
– Sunday, April 30th 2017 / Guitar category. She obtained a note of 95% / gold medal with distinction. The presented piece was “Le funambule” of Claude McKinnon. Judge: Caroline Simard.
